Studio in basement
The family Verhagen requested the creation of a studio in the basement for an independent child. A small bathroom, kitchen, living, and sleeping area needed to be incorporated into 25.5m². First, I designed two different layouts, which were later materialized in earthy tones that provide a warm look while ensuring tranquility and cohesion.

Riverside appartment
For the new apartment of the Zwijnenburg family, I designed an interior that reflects their style and preferences. From carefully selected mood images, a color palette emerged, which we translated into hand sketches and mood impressions.
Light terra and sand tones are combined with wood to create a warm foundation, while blue and gold accents give the interior a sophisticated touch. Wallpaper, wooden panels, and curtains also enhance the acoustics of the home, which required extra attention due to the extensive glass surfaces.
The result is a design that is both practical and atmospheric, bringing together warmth, elegance, and functionality.

Client’s request: an interior that better integrates the side garden into daily living and gives the space between the staircase and fireplace more purpose than just a passageway. Additionally, they wanted to feel a stronger connection with the fireplace as the central element of the home.
I translated this into two layout proposals. In the first option, the kitchen remains in its current location, without major changes to the plumbing. In the second option, the kitchen is relocated, allowing greater flexibility to make optimal use of the space and strengthen the connection with both the garden and the fireplace.
Both designs demonstrate how smart layout choices can not only be practical but also enhance the atmosphere, comfort, and overall experience of the home.
